AMANDA-- "WHITE CHRISTMAS" BY OTIS REDDING

Hello! Let me start off by wishing everyone Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!  I don't have much to say except that this song is a cover of one of the best Christmas songs of all time by soul legend Otis Redding. I'm a fan of  both Christmas music and the genre of soul, especially Otis Redding. Though he passed long ago, his electrifying performances continue to amaze and delight me. Like all his songs, he infuses a real sense of authenticity and emotionality into this one, which was originally written by Russian composer Irving Berlin (who was actually Jewish!) and later popularized by singer/actor Bing Crosby.  If you didn't know better you might even mistake it for a love song.
