Song: "Break Free" || Artist: Ariana Grande feat. Zedd || http://youtu.be/L8eRzOYhLuw ||
Comments: Hello and happy Monday, everyone! Today's song has been stuck in my head for far too long, so it's time to pass it on to you all. To be fair, you've almost certainly heard this song if you've turned on the radio lately -- this thing is everywhere, and it's not hard to see why. The combination of Zedd's excellent production and Ariana Grande's vocals makes for a truly infectious ear-worm. It's got a beat that pounds and a chorus that gets stuck in your head, and I can't get enough of it. Check this song out, and don't forget to like us on Facebook!

Song: "Scorpion Move" || Artist: Zedd || Vocal Edit Artist: Krewella || Original: https://soundcloud.com/dubstep/scorpion-move-by-zedd || Vocal Edit: https://soundcloud.com/krewella-media-music/scorpion-move-zedd-krewella ||
Comments: Hello and happy Friday everyone! Hopefully you've all had a lovely week, I know mine has been a little crazy. I'm still on a dubstep kick, but I found out last night that Linkin Park dropped a new album while I wasn't paying attention last month, so my dubstep kick will be coming to an end shortly. Check back next week and I'll dish the dirt on the new album.
To wrap up this week, let's jump into it with some excellent music. Today's track is one that I've been holding onto for far too long. To put a scale on just how long I've had this song in reserve, it came out on Krewella's Troll Mix Volume 2 (hour long amazing mix, free download here), and Krewella just released Troll Mix Volume 13 a month ago. Back on Troll Mix Volume 2, they dropped an unreleased track by Zedd called "Scorpion Move" (top soundcloud player, free download). It's an amazing track, full of all the right synths and wubs. It's really, really great, and it's going straight to my workout playlist. I'm shocked I didn't think to look this up before now.
Not satisfied with just dropping an unreleased track by another major artist, Krewella did us one better, and dropped their own vocal edit. Oh man, is this edit something else. I'm insanely sad that this isn't a free download as well, but I'll get over it for the sake of how good this song is. Krewella's vocals and edits are the perfect accompaniment to Zedd's fantastic instrumentals, and come together to make a truly exceptional track. Give this a try, be sure to download the original Zedd track, and check out the Troll Mix that I linked while you're at it -- all of these are amazing, and you won't be disappointed. Be sure to like Stuck In My kull on Facebook, and I'll see you next week!

Stuck In My Skull 450 -- "Zelda Theme (Original Mix)" [Zelda Week] and rumors!
Written By Christopher Audiophile on Monday, August 19, 2013 | 8/19/2013 09:00:00 AM
Zelda Week, Part 1 || Song: "Zelda Theme (Original Mix)" || Artist: Zedd || http://youtu.be/FcNTiNVpZwo ||
Comments: Hello, everyone, and happy Monday! I was not expecting to do this theme week, but I was scrolling through Zedd's SoundCloud when I saw this track and realized "Hey, I know enough really awesome versions of the Zelda theme that I could totally do a theme week on this!" And with that thought, here we are! Zedd, recently making waves with his massive hit "Clarity" featuring Foxes, did an amazing version of the LoZ theme two years back... and made it danceable. That's impressive. I am absolutely in love with this take on that iconic piece of video game history -- give it a listen, and see what you think!
Also, speaking of Zedd: Apparently he produced a significant chunk of Lady Gaga's new album ARTPOP while I wasn't paying attention. And how's this for a rumor: Ryan Seacrest mentioned on his "AT40" radio show yesterday that "as many as five or six" tracks on that album are songs that Zedd produced or helped produce. Five or six Zedd tracks on a Lady Gaga album? Sign me up! Mr. Seacrest didn't give a source, but this article from Rolling Stone seems to support it. We'll see what happens. In the mean time, give this song a listen!

Stuck In My Skull 385 -- "Clarity" and Announcement!
Written By Christopher Audiophile on Monday, February 25, 2013 | 2/25/2013 06:00:00 AM
Song: "Clarity" || Artist: Zedd feat. Foxes || http://youtu.be/IxxstCcJlsc ||
Comments: Hey everyone, I'm going to get the announcement out of the way first. With Amanda back on the blog, there are now four of us writing, and two to three of us writing on any given day -- that's a tad too much, we think. As a result, I'm going to try writing on just three days a week. Starting today, I'll be writing on just Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. I'm doing this to keep some balance in the number of posts each day, and hopefully having more time to write will make for better entries from me. After 384 posts, I have to admit I've worn a bit thin.
Moving on to the song. First, I had to check: Zedd has nothing to do with Zed's Dead, who did the massively popular remix of "Eyes on Fire" by Blue Foundation. Zedd is a 23 year old wonderkid of electronic music that I've never heard of, and will be listening to quite a bit after this post. He has remixed some of the biggest names in pop and electronic music, and is currently producing Lady Gaga's ARTPOP album, according to Wikipedia. At time of writing, this song is third on Billboard's Dance/Club Play Songs chart, and has spent nine weeks on the chart. I can see why. Foxes' (Louisa Rose Allen) vocals pick up where the beautiful piano intro leaves off, and step on the gas, taking this listener through an emotional, amazing journey. This song is simply phenomenal. Check it out!
