ETC #52 "I Don't Believe You"

Written By Anonymous on Thursday, February 7, 2013 | 2/07/2013 06:00:00 AM

Song: "I Don't Believe You" ~ Artist: P!nk

Comments: Hey everyone!  This was originally not the song I had planned for today, but in the midst of listening to a new artist I came across to this song by an artist that is not so new. P!nk has been around for a such a long time and is still producing amazing music. I frequently use her on the blog because she has such a unique voice, has power, and a powerful presence on the stage.  This song is one that I haven't heard before, but it is absolutely beautiful. It isn't too often that she puts out a ballad if I can phrase it that way. All of the strings are in this song!  There is a wonderful combination of cello and violin while P!nk and band member hit the acoustics guitars.  The chords are not anything extravagant, but by keeping it simple it gives this lady a chance to show off her vocals.  If I had my guitar this would be a song I would try to learn.  Also, apparently there is an official video for this as well if you'd prefer that. (I personally love listening to her live.)  Happy listening!

Comments:  Happy Monday, all.  I am bringing a little bit of P!nk into the light today because as I have received a lot of music for Christmas and her CD, The Truth About Love, was one of them.  This song is a single off her album that hasn't hit radio yet, and still has less than 100k in the way of views on Youtube, so you'll be ahead of the game on this one!   Furthermore, I am sharing this because it does a couple of things that I really like; one is that it shows of Pink's voice a little bit more than some other songs.  Wiki points out that it is more of a conversation than just a single perspective.  As for the video, the couple is absolutely adorable (which is beside the point) but, I do like that the video was put in the perspective of the male instead of a female.  Granted, she has her fair share in the video as well, but we get to see his point of view and him crying instead of the stereotypical girl view.  If you all get a chance to listen to her CD I highly recommend it.  She has some great up beat songs as well as some of her usual heart felt songs like this one.  And for those of you like Eminem, he makes an appearance in her duet "Here Comes the Weekend".   Happy listening!

Comments: Happy Monday all!  I discovered the most recent song by P!nk (posted 5 days ago) and I love it.  I have to say that I was surprised by the music video. It is showing a different side to her that I have yet to see with a little modern interpretive  dance.  You can see the struggle that she goes through with the rough relationship she's going through, but yet she always manages to get back up again.  The song is quite different than some of her most recent releases in comparison to the tempo, but it has some of the more serious reflections that can be seen in her earlier work, but with a contemporary spin with the video.  This song and "Blow Me (One Last Kiss) are the singles of her latest album and also her part of her "Truth About Love" tour that will be starting in 2013.  Happy Listening!

Entry 282-- Binder Week, Part 2: "Don't Let Me Get Me"

Comments: Hey everyone, it's Miriah bringing some older P!nk for those who may only know her recent stuff. I love her older music as well as her new music.  This was one of her songs to which I knew all the lyrics (though in all fairness I knew a lot of lyrics of hers).  Anyway, this was in the early 2000s and it concerns the basic self-esteem issues that many teens face.  Enjoy!
