Entry 23-- "Beat That My Heart Skipped"

Song: "Beat That My Heart Skipped"
Artist: Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip
http://youtu.be/ESvYRR1Fyug
Comments: From the geniuses that brought you Entry 3's "Thou Shalt Always Kill"-- this song is another exercise in tongue twisters, dispensed by the oddball, excellent British duo. One of the things that always strikes me about this song is how simple the beat is, and yet the lyrics make it feel much more complicated. Check it out.

Entry 22-- "Schism"

Song: "Schism"
Artist: Tool
http://youtu.be/UhjG47gtMCo
Comments: Be warned-- this video is WEIRD. That said, the lyrics to this song are as deep as the video is odd. My personal theory is that the song is referencing the Great Schism between the Roman Catholic chuch and the Orthodox church in the Middle Ages. Of course, Tool being Tool, it could mean anything.

Comments: Sharon von Adel-- lead singer of the symphonic metal band Within Temptation-- does a stunning job of providing vocals for this track by the legendary Armin van Buuren. There's a reason I use adjectives like this-- check it out!

Comments: HOLY TWENTIETH POST, BATMAN! So, I have a notion not to include new, popular songs. However, the title of this blog is "Stuck in My Skull," and has this song ever lived up to that... Listen at your own risk-- it's incredibly catchy.

Song: "Viva la Vida (Telemitry Remix)"
Artist: Coldplay

Comments: Remixes of popular songs are a dime a dozen, and usually suck. Let's face it-- a good remix happens infrequently, compared to the sheer number of remixes that spam the internet. So when a really, really good remix comes about, take advantage of it, love it, and spread it just as far as you can folks. Telemitry, I've never heard of you, but you have my compliments-- well done.
